Litigation Paralegal Duties: Formatting briefs, pleadings and other legal documents. Filing legal documents (e-filling skills are preferred). Corresponding with clients. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments. Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court. Prepare privilege logs. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.). Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Provide assistance with case settlements. Prepare exhibits to motions. Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work successfully with multiple team members, interacting with employees at all levels of the organization. Competent to handle a variety of activities with attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow through and follow up, and adapt to quickly meet changing deadlines and priorities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on short deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision. Retain a high level of flexibility and resourceful problem solving. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
