Legal Secretary The candidate will prepare and process corporate and finance practice legal documents and papers, such as indentures, purchase agreements, prospectuses, offering memoranda, loan agreements, and closing documents. Will maintain calendar and contacts. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, time recording, expense reimbursements, and filing. Schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements. Create, update, and format PowerPoint presentations. Mail, scan, fax, or arrange for delivery of legal correspondence and other documents to clients, counsel, and print documents. Receive and place telephone calls. Make photocopies of correspondence, documents, and other printed materials. Responsible for timely completion of documents and/or work requests. Create and edit documents, mail merges, charts, graphs, tables, etc. Scan and clean documents utilizing scanner equipment and software. Convert and clean documents from other software applications. Strong communications skills needed to communicate with all levels of personnel. Bachelor s Degree is essential. Must have 6+ years law firm experience and very strong organization skills. Keyboarding skills of 65 wpm is essential. Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Nuance (or Adobe Pro), and PowerPoint is essential. Experience in Word 2010, including advanced functions and Styles is essential. (Innova experience is a plus). Knowledge of formatting, legal procedures and specialized terminology is essential. Working knowledge of windows applications, including e-mail and document management systems is essential. (iManage experience is a plus).
