Paralegal / Legal Assistant - Immigration Duties: Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions with government agencies. Draft legal documents for review by attorneys. Areas of practice include Removal Defense, Asylum, VAWA, U Visas and Family based visas, Permanent Residencies, Naturalization and Consular Processing. You should have familiarity and/or experience with the following: I-485 I-864, I-130 DS-260, I-360 I-131, I-90.
Qualifications: Paralegal certificate preferred. Should have 2-4 years Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience (including any internship experience) with 2 years experience in family based immigration. A able to manage complex tasks efficiently; prioritize work load in extremely time-sensitive field of law; meet strict deadlines; be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to edit carefully; provide outstanding client service; flexible and adaptable to fast-paced environment; organized; self-motivated with strong initiative; have a positive attitude; have a professional demeanor. Bilingual Fluency in Spanish/English is required. Must be technology savvy with proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with case management system is a plus. Must have excellent written communication skills. Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
