Litigation Attorney The candidate work will involve hands-on work across a range of litigation practice areas, primarily insurance defense and first-party property claims defense. Significant experience as well as more junior-level attorneys. A current, active license to practice law in Louisiana. Should have experience with insurance defense and/or first-party property claims defense. Experience drafting pleadings, arguing substantive motions in court, taking and defending depositions, and other facets of the litigation process. Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy. The ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines. Experience participating in the development of a strategy for written and deposition discovery.Ability to distill research into meaningful and persuasive written work product and to work meticulously to ensure the quality of work product. A team mindset while assisting with preparation for trials and evidentiary hearings. Confidence in serving as a representative of clients and our firm while meeting and conferring with opposing counsel. A willingness to be proactive and take ownership of projects and assignments. Excellent research and analytical skills as well as clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. A demonstrated dedication to client service.
