Immigration Paralegal The candidate will work with attorneys in the practice group, focusing primarily on business and employment related cases. This position will review and maintain files, prepare correspondence and perform legal research. Draft, review and file various petitions including H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, J-1 and E-1/E-2 visa petitions, PERM applications, immigrant visa petitions and adjustment of status applications. Gather facts and documentation in support of petitions. Review files for status, maintain and organize client matters and calendars. Draft correspondence regarding procedural matters, status updates and letters in support of petitions. Interact with government agencies, including the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Service. Should have thorough knowledge of immigration procedures and processes. In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles is required. Must have working knowledge of INSZoom. Should have fluent communication skills in Spanish or other languages. Associate's degree in related discipline required. Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred. 1 - 3 years of experience in similar field required. Prior immigration work experience or training preferred. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferred.
