Legal Assistant/ Legal Secretary - Criminal Defense Send resume and a cover letter (not to exceed two (2) pages) indicating interest. The candidate duties will include: Answering incoming calls; Act as a liaison between the attorney and clients, court officials, state agencies and other parties; E-filing documents into the Clerk system; Draft and type case-related correspondence and pleadings; Proofread documents; Prepare exhibits, court documents, subpoenas, witness fees and ensure timely handling and filing of time sensitive court documents; Coordinating and manage attorneys calendars, including scheduling court hearings, depositions and booking client appointments; Input required data entry, notes and retrieval for case management systems. Must have 1+ year of previous experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary providing support including preparing and e-filing legal documents. Should have Microsoft Word experience. Fluency in Spanish language is must. Strong technical skills are necessary, along with writing, research and people skills.
