Nurse Paralegal The candidate will be guiding clients through our intake process and assisting them in gathering crucial information for investigation of their claims. Obtain and review medical records to identify missing records and other providers in contact with client; Prepare chronologies summarizing medical records; Maintain expert tracking sheets and subpoena charts showing which records have been obtained, record sources and potential follow-up to be performed; Prepare packages of records for expert witness review; Identify and interview potential expert witnesses A bachelor's degree in nursing, chemistry, biology; an associate's degree in nursing; or have graduated from an accredited nursing program are required. 3-7 years of experience in clinical practice and/or experience in a law firm are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure are required. Strong project management skills are required. Strong verbal communication, listening skills, and excellent writing skills are required. Strong work ethic and high ethical standards are required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction are required. Strong analytical skills; ability to express opinions logically and coherently are required. Strong problem-solving skills are required. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize pending work projects are required. Proficiency in medical literature searches and internet research are required. Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Adobe, Excel, etc. Prevail Case Management software experience a major plus. General working knowledge of the laws applicable to medical cases are required.
