Medical Mal Practice/Personal Injury Senior Paralegal Responsibilities: Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects. Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures. Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys. Interviews clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements. Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items. Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings. Analyzes medical records in a manner as provides deep insight to the appropriate attorney including medical summaries. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Should have 7-10 years of experience handling civil litigation matters, and specifically medical malpractice and personal injury claims. Experience with legal document management systems. Experience using firm software and case management programs, and office productivity (Office 365, Filevine, and Lead Docket). Motivated, reliable, and able to work within a professional firm environment. Capability to follow detailed instructions. Must be able to work well in a team environment, have exceptional interpersonal communication skills, and a strong desire to develop and advance their legal career. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to stay focused on numerous details while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
