Nurse Paralegal The candidate will organize in-patient and out-patient medical charts; Review medical records to identify missing records and other providers in contact with patient; Prepare chronologies summarizing medical records; Maintain expert tracking sheets and subpoena charts showing which records have been obtained, record sources and potential follow-up to be performed; Prepare packages of records for expert witness review; Identify and interview potential expert witnesses; Arrange for and attend attorney conferences with experts; Assist with transfer of all necessary records, pleadings, and depositions to treating health care providers and experts. The candidate must have BA/BS Degree; Must have RN License; Must have 5+ years clinical experience working in a hospital or other medical environment; Must have 3+ years law firm experience or consulting experience working with medical malpractice defense litigation team is preferred; Prior experience billing time for work spent performing a service on behalf of clients is preferred; Must have knowledge of medical terminology; Must have strong interpersonal skills (communication, teamwork) and personal effectiveness skills (decision making, time management); Must have ability to prioritize and manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines; Must have ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment; Prior database experience and Internet research skills are preferred.
