Legal Secretary / Legal Administrative Assistant (Litigation) Duties: The candidate will play a role in enhancing the effectiveness of the litigation attorneys by performing a variety of duties such as drafting and formatting letters, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents; managing calendars for meetings, depositions; and making travel arrangements. In-depth knowledge of court process and procedures while filing court documents through State and Federal electronic filing systems is incredibly valuable. Though the job is primarily administrative, it is also very people-oriented, and focused on providing exceptional internal and external customer service. Always willing to help, the respond in a timely manner to the attorneys, the clients, the courts, and outside counsel, highly organized, with a strong attention, will be able to effectively manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, can-do attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, if so, and meet the qualifications below, might be a perfect fit for the open Litigation Legal Assistant position at the law firm. With your strong organizational skills and attention to detail, effectively prioritize and manage requests from multiple attorneys. Take a necessary direction from them, and work independently with little or no supervision Qualification and Experience: Should have Proficient in State and Federal electronic court filings; Proficient in Microsoft Office; Proficient typist, 70+ words a minute; Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision; Ability to keep and maintain confidential information regarding clients and firm issues; Ability to quickly grasp firm specific software applications; Manage calendars for meetings, depositions, and/or court hearings ;Ability to be adaptable to various office situation ;2+ years' working experience as a litigation legal assistant; 1+ year experience processing State and Federal electronic court filings ;2+ year degree or equivalent work experience
