Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Finalize documents for court filings, and prepare correspondence as necessary. E-file court documents. Open new matters and/or prefixes for new clients. Save and retrieve documents to/from Document management system, index copies for file room. Prepare and send out cover letters for attorney bills. Schedule conferences and depositions, maintain attorney calendars. Manage bills for third party vendors, prepare check requests, and follow up with accounting. Qualifications: Must have 3+ years Litigation experience coverage experience a plus. Must have recent experience with both State and Federal Courts litigation procedures and processes. Ability to work in a team-based setting with other Legal Secretaries supporting a group of attorneys. Open to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment. Excellent typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Outlook, Excel). Strong written and verbal communication skills.
