Docket Manager - Paralegal The candidate will review correspondence for purposes of updating electronic trademark database, WebTMS (and/or TM Cloud). Will retrieve trademark information from various websites of foreign trademark offices. Enter, update, and maintain records in docketing system for all trademark matters. This includes domestic, and international prosecution work, all conflicts, and contentious proceedings related to the firm s trademark work. Extensive review of correspondence from foreign associates for purposes of identifying any deadlines, or pertinent information that may need to be entered into the trademark database. Track pending 3rd party applications for potential enforcement matters. Oversee and manage the integration of large client trademark portfolios formerly managed by other firms into the firm's database. Generate reports detailing various aspects of client trademark portfolios and review these for accuracy. Generate reports detailing upcoming deadlines for client matters. Advise firm attorneys on upcoming deadlines and ensuring those deadlines are met. Manage non-trademark IP matters through docketing systems. These includes domain names and confiscation by foreign Customs. Preparation of correspondence to clients on various trademark filings, reminders, USPTO notices, and other IP-related communications. Should have 2+ years of IP docketing experience. Experience with handling cases based on foreign applications or the Madrid Protocol is a plus. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must. Familiarity with IP docketing software systems is required, and knowledge of WebTMS or TM cloud is a bonus.
