This is the Atlanta outpost of an international firm. Although this firm is international, it still has a decidedly regional feel to it, and it international only to service certain valued clients. Life is reasonably good in the Atlanta office, where there are attorneys capable of handling every measure of legal problem faced by companies or corporations. Although the litigators are able to become more specialized, corporate associates have a general practice, which ocassional spreads them (and their expertise) a bit thin. Lagging behind in compensation, this firm is dedicated to associate life issues, and has, as a result, a good deal of devoted associates.
Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Assist with daily needs including review and abstracting of purchase agreements with attention to critical dates and closing conditions; review and analysis of title and survey matters; drafting title review memorandums and title objection letters; organizing and fulfilling conditions necessary to satisfy title requirements; researching real property tax and ownership information; coordinating, conducting, and funding escrow closings; compliance with escrow instruction letters, including recording and the issuance of final title insurance policies; and managing post-closing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred; however, work experience may be substituted for education. 3 years' experience in Commercial Real Estate as a paralegal in a medium to large-sized law firm, commercial title insurance company, or other professional services environment. Working under pressure to meet strict deadlines for demanding clients is a breeze. Exhibit excellent client service skills by working on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision. Strong communication skills are evident in your ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff. The use of computers for organizing and maintaining documents, as well as familiarity with technology in general, is one of the strong suits. Work equally well in an independent and a team environment, and you re a proactive self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context. Strong title and survey review preferred.
