Legal Secretary The candidate will provide secretarial support to attorneys including, but not limited to, preparation of legal documents, correspondence and pleadings from draft or dictation to proofread final. Will also be responsible for making travel arrangements, processing expense reports and client billing. Work with multiple attorneys providing a full range of support including: preparation/revision of correspondence, pleadings and documents; calendar maintenance; various office and client filing and electronic transcription. Other duties including managing attorneys' calendars, coordinating meetings and depositions, maintaining files and performing other administrative duties as assigned. Large part of this role is client billing. Must have an aptitude for numbers and billing. High school diploma or equivalent is needed. Should have 5-7 years as a litigation secretary. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Should be familiar with state and federal rules and procedures. Must have a solid understanding of technical legal terminology and court filings. Should have strong ability to write and communicate effectively, tactfully and professionally with employees, clients and attorneys. Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment is needed. Excellent typing skills, prior experience with a document management system (NetDocuments) is a plus.
