Paralegal; Corporate Immigration Practice Group The candidate works directly with attorneys and clients and to support these filings, is responsible for the preparation and filing of non-immigrant petitions, (O-1 and Outstanding Researcher petitions, H-1B, L-1 intracompany transfer petitions and immigrant petitions leading to permanent residence ( green cards )). The Immigration Paralegal also analyzes case facts, drafts correspondence, maintains and organizes client documentation to support these filings. Independently prepare documents to assist attorneys with complex matters in important industries. Compile and analyze case facts. Determine and calendar deadlines. Prepare submissions to USCIS and DOL. Communicate with clients (employers and visa beneficiaries). Should have Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. A paralegal certificate is preferred. 2+ years of paralegal experience working in a high volume business immigration practice preferred but we will train the right person. Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Document Management System. Successful candidates must possess strong writing skills, pay excellent attention to detail, be able to multi-task and work independently on team goals and have outstanding case/project management and organizational skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and work well both individually and in a team environment.
