Litigation - Paralegal The candidate will be supervising Attorney and the Non-Routine Litigation Manager. The position is also subject to oversight of firm leadership relating to KPI s, timelines, and firm processes and procedures as they pertain to the position. Said duties and responsibilities are dynamic in nature and are subject to change as the firm grows and as the landscape of the firm's primary practice (creditor's rights) expands or changes. The Non-Routine Litigation Paralegal is expected to provide his or her support, knowledge and experience to the Firm for the oversight and management of assigned files in a high-volume state specific creditors rights practice relating to foreclosure, replevin and eviction actions. Provide daily support to the staff Attorney, as well as the Supervising Attorney to ensure legal adherence to processes and pleading preparations. Non-Routine Litigation Paralegal and the Attorneys will work closely together to ensure maximum efficiency in file movement. Launch and update case management system to reflect filed pleadings, motions and discovery to accurately track filings received, deadlines and progression of the action. The Non-Routine Litigation Paralegal will conduct weekly meetings with the staff Attorney to discuss high priority files, upcoming hearings and deadlines. Will be responsible for monitoring, completing or reassigning all Client System steps, intercoms, and other action items required by the Client. The Non-Routine Litigation Paralegal will ensure that all Client Systems are kept up to date in accordance with Default Operations management expectations including but not limited to accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity. Solid understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure required - 2+ years experience preferred. Litigation experience in Foreclosure/Default Servicing, Probate and Estates, State Appellate Court and Federal District Court, Experience with client systems such as Blacknight, Tempo, Vendorscape, Legal Tracker and others is preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrower, clients, attorneys, other internal employees, and outside parties. Must be able to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner. Must possess exceptional organizational skills; the position requires the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change. Attention to detail is a must. High-level proficiency in MS Office suite. Proficiency in internet research activities.
