Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Training The candidate will support a single attorney at a solo practitioner firm that practices immigration, family and personal injury law. This position will work closely with the attorney and other legal assistant at the firm to complete case work on a variety of cases. This role may also include other areas of the firm including marketing and client signing. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Interface with clients to provide updates and complete other case work. Correspond with opposing counsel and government administrators about clients' cases as needed. Draft and edit client correspondence, letters, cover letters to USCIS and cover letters to ICE. Review, revise and complete USCIS and ICE forms as needed. Complete tasks assigned by attorney as given. Answer incoming calls from clients, potential clients, opposing counsel and other parties. Schedule and coordinate client meetings and visits, consultations, phone calls with attorney. Make copies of documents, gather client documents for cases. Follow up with potential clients before and following consultations. Assist with office administrative duties as needed. Examine office processes for areas of improvement and propose changes. Design marketing ads for Facebook, Instagram and Craigslist using Canva. Contribute to marketing efforts. Should have strong writing skills. Comfortable using and learning new technologies. Multilingual in Spanish (and other languages a plus). Should preferably have Bachelor's and Relevant experience.
