Paralegal Duties: Provide administrative support to attorneys managing a high-volume caseload of all types of immigration legal applications. Substantial direct client interaction. Prepare client correspondence; Draft client declarations; Prepare immigration forms and applications packages; Prepare client records and FOIA requests to state and federal courts and agencies; and Translation of client documents from Spanish to English.
Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (preferred). 1-2 years of prior experience as an Immigration paralegal preferred. Although applicants with prior experience working at an immigration law firm is preferred, entry-level applicants with other office experience who have a genuine interest in immigration issues and a demonstrated aptitude for learning new tasks quickly will be considered. Fluency in Spanish is required (written and oral). Strong organization and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and manage heavy case load and meet strict deadlines. Computer literacy. Strong work ethic.
