Legal Secretary Duties: Assist attorneys and other staff members with research and preparation of correspondence, corporate documents, court filings, and litigation. Prepare and translate correspondence (e-mails, letters, etc.). Serve as a liaison between attorneys and Japanese-speaking clients. Word processing, transcription, and data entry. Supervise Records Assistants. Answer telephone calls. Calendaring. Copying and filing. Schedule meetings and travel arrangements. Requirements: Bachelors Degree. 2+ years' experience as an Administrative Assistant. Strong English & Japanese skills (both verbal and written) (excellent business vocabulary, grammar and writing, accurate translations, effective communication skills). Pleasant and professional voice and attitude for excellent service to clients. Proficiency in a variety of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), ACT, Timeslips, WordPerfect (or able to quickly learn to be proficient with software). Strong work ethic. Organized, detail-oriented, mature, friendly, professional, flexible. Good reasoning and analytical skills. Project management and coordination abilities. Motivated, eager to learn, a team player. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with all personnel and clients. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
