Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary The candidate assists us with court filings, calendaring, and office administration. Uses word processing and document management software (Microsoft Office 2010, including Excel, Google Workshare Drive, Google Calendar, Adobe etc.) to prepare and revise, format and finalize a wide variety of documents, including correspondence, memoranda, discovery responses, discovery requests, and legal materials. Screening telephone calls; schedules conference calls; coordinates and schedules travel arrangements through web-based application; maintains attorney/legal assistant calendars. Exhibits professionalism by recognizing and adhering to firm policies, including attendance guidelines, security measures, and confidentiality requirements. Maintains positive, professional, courteous and flexible demeanor when dealing with clients and colleagues. Must have 2+ years of recent legal secretarial/legal assistant experience in the litigation area. Advanced proficiency in MS Word and formatting documents with a minimum typing speed of 40+ words per minute is required. Adobe, PowerPoint and Excel experience.
