Associate - Labor and Employment Attorney The candidate will work closely with senior attorneys on a wide variety of matters, including counseling employers regarding hiring and terminations; compliance with state and federal wage and hour; disability, and leave laws; and drafting employment agreements, separation agreements, employment policies, and other transactional employment matters. This associate will also assist in the defense of single plaintiff and class employment litigation and administrative charges. Should have 3+ years of proven Labor and Employment practice experience. Specifically, will be expected to handle the following types of tasks with minimal supervision: Take a substantial role in managing litigation matters; Conduct legal research and draft research memoranda; Motion practice; Interview witnesses and prepare fact presentations for litigated matters; Draft discovery requests and responses to discovery requests; Take and defend depositions; and Provide employment counsel on multiple regulatory issues. Should have strong people skills suitable for a client-focused business. A wide range of labor and employment law experience, dispute resolution and leadership skills. Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota or ability to become licensed in Minnesota within 3 months.
