Legal Secretary Litigation Candidate will work in office for 2 experienced, trial attorneys with an exciting practice. Responsibilities will include administrative office duties as well as opening and processing mail, calendaring, filing, scheduling depositions, preparation of client correspondence, processing of vendor bills, preparation of pleadings and discovery. Requirements: 4-6 years of previous legal secretary work; Experience with e-filings with state and federal courts, trial preparation; Experience in civil litigation required. Experience in medical malpractice a plus. Ability to type 65+ wpm; Ability to effectively communicate both oral and in written form; Ability to communicate effectively with clients, address immediate concerns and manage expectations; Excellent word processing skills utilizing Microsoft Word, iManage, Compulaw and Excel; Basic knowledge of Legal Terminology. Must be detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and heavy calendaring. Should be able to able to prioritize and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. Must also have professional telephone skills.
