Paralegal/Legal Secretary Duties: Perform various paralegal, secretarial, and administrative functions in a fast-paced litigation environment. Coordinate and facilitate legal filings with various federal and state courts (both electronically and manually); draft correspondence and communicate with individuals of various backgrounds, including attorneys, staff, court-staff, clients, and vendors; perform new client intakes; prepare and format documents, including tables of contents and tables of authorities in Microsoft Word; maintain case deadlines and attorney calendars; perform general administrative and office management functions; answer phones; collect and process mail; set up conference rooms; and coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys. Requirements: 3+ years of relevant law firm experience; general office, filing, and computer skills; ability to professionally interact with clients and the public by telephone, in written communications, and in-person; excellent attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; familiar with Compulaw, Clio, and/or similar docketing and calendaring systems, and expertise in court procedures and application of local rules. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Should be self-starters with a can-do attitude, highly motivated, professional, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
