Paralegal/Legal Assistant The candidate work under direct attorney supervision. Receive and place telephone calls with clients, potential clients, court staff, law offices, etc. Maintain firm calendar by scheduling consultations, court settings, and other events. Review and organize client files. Draft legal instruments, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence. Interview clients and witnesses. Conduct legal and factual research in support of litigation. Perform general office management tasks. Adhere to ethical standards and practices. Required Experience: 1 - 3 years experience in a role involving frequent client/customer contact; 1 - 3 years experience in a role involving office and/or database organization. 0 - 3 years experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in a litigation firm. Should preferably have Associate's Degree or higher (Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies highly preferred). Professional certification through NFPA, NALA, or NALS highly preferred,. Must have 1+ year of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in a litigation firm. Should have experience drafting pleadings and estate planning documents for attorney review and revision. Should be bilingual English-Spanish (knowledge of legal Spanish highly preferred). Must have familiarity with Tyler Technologies e-filing and e-service.
