Legal Secretary The candidate will support three partners. Will be responsible for opening new matters and computer input. Deal with document management and organization, saving to network, indexing files. Assemble motions and other pleadings (including assembling of exhibits, transcripts and other pertinent documents). Draft standard pleadings (answers, RJIs, bills of particulars, etc.). Draft and respond to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests to produce documents, etc.). Assist with medical record retrieval and document management. Schedule conferences and depositions, maintain attorney calendars. Manage bills for third party vendors, process check requests and follow up with accounting. Should have a Bachelor's degree. Paralegal certificate is preferred. Must have 1-3 years of general litigation experience, in NY State and Federal courts.
