Experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will assist the attorneys with daily duties in the personal injury department handling the following types of cases: medical malpractice, birth injuries, sexual assaults, dog bites, physical assaults, on the job injuries, human trafficking, fires/explosions, wildfires, slip and falls, MVAs, etc. Duties will include managing and working pre-litigation and litigation cases; talking to clients, court staff, opposing counsel, experts, medical providers, etc.; managing calendars; drafting demands, discovery requests and responses, pleadings, expert designations, etc.; scheduling depositions, mediations, and trials; attending events as needed/desired. Should preferably have a High school or equivalent education and experience of 1 year as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal. Must be a highly motivated, dependable, loyal, outgoing, experienced Legal Assistant/ Paralegal. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus. A Paralegal certificate and/or relevant educational background is a plus. Must have some law firm/legal experience, have excellent writing skills, and possess the below traits: problem solver; energetic with attention to detail; adaptability, and the ability to work independently and follow instructions, handle difficult situations with compassion and control.
