Legal Administrative Assistant-Paralegal Duties: Preparing and filing new U.S. Trademark/Service Mark applications in the U.S. Trademark Office, maintaining and properly responding to all Office Communications; Preparing and filing new Provisional, Non-Provisional, Continuation, Continuation-in-Part, Divisional, PCT and National Phase applications with the United States Patent & Trademark Office; Coordinating with attorneys and staff to ensure that all papers are timely filed with the U.S.PTO; Preparing draft Amendments/Responses for the various Office Communications from the U.S.PTO; Communicating with Clients to ensure all papers are properly prepared for timely filing; Recording attorney s hours, preparing and issuing invoices for professional services rendered and expenses incurred in filing responses in U.S.PTO or work required by client; Maintaining order and efficiency in office space providing daily necessary technical support, handling and coordinating conference calls between Patent Examiner, clients and attorneys; and Dictation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in related field and/ or some legal or paralegal experience. A paralegal certificate and a background in Intellectual Property are a plus. Self-starter mentality with a high level of focus. Detail oriented. Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Word, Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, CorelDraw, ChemDraw. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Team worker.
