Paralegal/Legal Assistant The candidate will develop an understanding of Estate Planning documents - Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney. Participate in educational opportunities to maintain the necessary knowledge of the job. Be comfortable meeting with clients for a variety of purposes and responding to client questions with Attorney guidance. Administer client communications throughout the representation. Prepare, review, and proof documents with attention to detail. Assist clients in working with their financial institutions to accomplish planning. Prepare Excel spreadsheets for accountings, protections, and organizational purposes. Produce monthly reports in connection with billing. Work independently and in concert with other attorneys and support staff. Should be rigorous in meeting commitments and documenting and recording time contemporaneously; be thoroughly comfortable with relevant software applications & technology, including Microsoft Office applications and Corel WordPerfect. Develop procedures to streamline the process of document preparation & distribution. Provide guidance to other support staff. Should have a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellent client service; experience with the expectations above, to the extent relevant, and; a commitment to applying skills in a law firm in this geographic area; writing and work samples (appropriately redacted), will receive our careful attention. 2 years of Office.
