Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for prosecution of US and foreign patents, Trademarks and Copyrights. Preparation and filing of US patent prosecution documents. Reviewing of all docketing before reporting to client, recording necessary dates in docket. Maintaining multiple dockets. Preparing and filing of PCT applications. Reviewing of all incoming documents from the RO, IB and ISA preparing and filing of responses as necessary. Preparing and filing of foreign direct national and national stage patent applications preparation and filing of foreign trademark applications. Correspondence with foreign counsel at all stages of prosecution. Reviewing and recitation of foreign IP laws and requirements to clients. Performing trademark searches. Preparing and filing of applications reviewing and preparation of responses to Office Actions and Notices of Suspension preparation and filing of Statements of Use, Extension Requests, Declarations of Use, Renewals, etc. Preparation of docket portfolio reports & discussions with clients regarding upcoming deadlines and requirements in the US and worldwide. Advising on urgent matters. Running conflict checks, maintaining client files, opening and closing files. The candidate should have 2+ years of experience in the IP field as a Paralegal. Must have Paralegal certificate or Bachelors Degree. Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Foundation IP, Times-lips and many IP resources on the Internet (PAIR, EFS, TSDR, TESS, TEAS); ability to learn new software programs is needed.
