Legal Secretary The candidate will be Calendaring with electronic system (ProLaw); and managing documents in firm software (Imanage). Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, is dedicated and detailed oriented with 5 years of experience in civil litigation. Experience with document management system preferred. Imanage and Prolaw experience a plus. Must be able to handle workload for a 3+ attorney heavy litigation desk. Must be able to prepare, format, & edit legal documents such as pleadings, discovery and correspondence (including TOA/TOC). Must have thorough knowledge of rules and procedures for service of documents and filings with Federal Courts (the majority of casework is in Federal Court) and California Superior Courts (manual and electronic filing). Ability to multi-task and complete assignments quickly and accurately to meet demanding deadlines. Ability to take initiative, be resourceful and anticipate needs of attorneys. Attention to detail is an absolute requirement. Paralegal skills a plus. Excellent written & oral communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate and interact with clients, court staff, and other third parties on behalf of the firm in a professional and courteous manner. Must be a team player and have the ability to work effectively and courteously with co-workers, especially in times of stress. Proficiency with Word 2010, Adobe and Outlook is a must.
