Temporary Personal Injury Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for the case management. Correspondence with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, court, and others. Use of e-filing systems for Pierce, King, and Federal Courts. Calendaring hearings, deadlines, reminders. Meeting with clients and witnesses. Communicate with courts and opposing counsel. Drafting pleadings and discovery. Tracking case costs. Reviewing & analyzing medical and other records. Preparing demand packages, medical summaries and chronologies; Other duties as assigned.
The candidate should have a college degree and/or paralegal certification with minimum 3+ years experience as a personal injury paralegal (plaintiff or defense). Prior litigation experience is required; Proficiency with MS Word/Office, Adobe, and technology. Ability to type at least 70 wpm. Ability to work the entire length of needed time frame is required. Experience and familiarity with e-filing systems for Pierce, King, and Federal Courts is required. Experience drafting pleadings and discovery is required. An understanding of the litigation process and ability to anticipate upcoming needs is required. Willingness to sign confidentiality agreement. Preferably in-depth knowledge of local, state and/or federal court rules. Ability to be dependable and punctual. Excellent communication. Professionalism. Team Work. Stable work history. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, and under deadlines. Ability to manage multiple deadlines. Positive attitude; and Keep people informed of the status of projects, work and deadlines. Work authorization for United States is required.
