Paralegal - Hearings Coordinator The candidate will provide legal support to firm's Attorneys. Will perform routine daily tasks for attorney(s) including running and reviewing reports and maintaining attorney calendars. Organization and maintenance of case and electronic files. Correspondence to counsel, clients and courts on behalf of attorney(s). Draft and file pleadings in a variety of courts, including utilizing ECF procedures.- Collection and review of potential litigation files including legal research and providing summaries to attorney(s). Preparation for and attendance at hearings and trials. Data entry of document information sent and received, client figures, fees and costs, and other items necessary to prepare foreclosure, bankruptcy, and eviction documents. Prepare, review, record, catalog and file in processing program all documents in a timely and organized fashion. Completes statutorily required copies, certified mailings, and filings. The candidate must have 3+ years of Paralegal level experience, preferably in a bankruptcy services or similar high volume law firm environment. The ability to type and track information through various computer systems is critical. College degree preferred. Experience in the banking industry, foreclosure, bankruptcy and/or evictions is preferred. Ability to use (or learn to use) ECF and PACER, our proprietary law firm software application and vendor/client specific software is required. Must be professional and courteous and have strong written, oral, and organizational skills. Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency with MS Office applications.
