Family Law Paralegal, Temporary The candidate will support to one attorney whose primary practice areas are Family Law and 11.88 Guardianship in Washington State only. Will have direct client contact, substantial case responsibility, and work closely with the attorney on the day to day aspects of our cases as well as preparing cases for hearings and trials. Maintain a professional appearance, outgoing and positive attitude. Maintain clear professional boundaries in a highly emotional legal practice area. Professional communication with clients, attorneys, courts, and coworkers. Work accurately and effectively in highly confidential, detail oriented environment. Excellent verbal, written and organization skills. Drafting and preparing correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, trial notebooks, and other documents as necessary. Maintain accurate calendar for case deadlines. Courtroom support for attorney as needed. General clerical and administrative duties. Qualifications: Prior experience in Family Law as a legal assistant or Paralegal. Prior experience drafting pleadings for Spokane County Superior Court and Lincoln County Superior Court. Experience with computer software: FamilySoft and ProLaw a plus. Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook). Term: October 2017 through February 2018.
