Part Time Civil Litigation Paralegal The candidate prepares initial drafts of pleadings, motions, notices, orders, and all the other documents involved in civil litigation. Prepares discovery, answers discovery, drafts demands, and settlement agreements by customizing standard forms. Dockets and schedules events: Adds ticklers/reminders to attorney and firm calendars as necessary. Schedules mediations, hearings, trials, meetings, as necessary with the court, opposing counsel, clients, staff, and attorneys. Drafts, send, and/or e-files correspondence and basic pleadings. Must know how to E-file or e willing to learn quickly. Should have 2 years of working in civil litigation (bankruptcy experience a plus).
