Civil Litigation Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Taking depositions of the plantiffs and other parties. Conducting discover. Performing legal research. Remaining current with developments in the law. Drafting pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents. Appear in court to cover motions and case management conferences. Qualifications: A law degree from an ABA accredited law school. License in Illinois required, Missouri a plus. 3+ years of experience and possible portable billings, or the willingness to market and develop own practice area to build a corporate practice and support existing and new firm clients. Knowledge of substantive and procedural law. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Analytical and logical reasoning abilities. Ability to synthesize complex legal and factual materials. Superior interpersonal skills. Client development skills. Ability to handle large caseloads and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent negotiation skills.
