Legal Secretary The candidate will perform calendaring and scheduling of depositions, mediations, etc. Heavy client interaction. Maintain a spreadsheet of clients' medical treatment and update as needed. E-filing in state cases and federal cases. Formatting and sending correspondence to all parties; discovery for attorney approval as well as obtaining responses from the client. Prepared outgoing mail, scanned incoming mail. Kept electronic file as well as paper file updated, downloading pleadings and faxes. Prepared binders for depositions and hearings. Formatting and sending correspondence to all parties. E-filing in state and federal cases. Maintained calendar and master spreadsheets. Formatting discovery for attorney approval as well as obtaining responses from the client. Obtained all travel arrangements for an attorney to attend hearings and depositions. Handled over 70+ pharmacy cases, requested records, and produced. Answered multi-phone lines on a daily basis. Prepared outgoing mail, scanned incoming mail, and save same to the case management system. Kept electronic file as well as paper file updated, downloading pleadings and faxes. The candidate must possess 2 years of experience in Plaintiff's personal injury; a very high level of organization with the ability to take orders quickly while problem-solving with little or no oversight; strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail; excellent communication and grammar skills; reliable transportation for running errands; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to work with employees and vendors; capability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and discernment; ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines. Must be proficient with Adobe Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Office.
