Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. Will be responsible for case management and work flow. Be responsible for coordinating all post-filing matters with the head attorney and support staff. Prepare pleadings, motions, applications and any other applicable bankruptcy filings. Serve in: Filing petitions, post-filing matters, preparing pleadings and other legal documents; faxing documents; answering phones, assisting with client concerns; keeping in contact with bankruptcy court and its personnel; communicating with trustees, calendaring deadlines and court hearings; filing supplemental bankruptcy forms and amendments, taking post 341 notes and responding accordingly, maintaining client management system files.
The candidate should preferably have Paralegal degree/certificate. Should have 2+ years of recent debtor bankruptcy experience. Understanding of how ECF, Pacer, and the United States Bankruptcy court function essential. Must preferably have 3+ years of dedicated experience. BestCase software experience desired.
