Legal Secretary/Assistant DUTIES: Provide overall operations assistance. Play an intricate role in the day-to-day operations as the legal assistant will assist with case management, legal document preparation, billing projects, and time entry. Will also be scanning incoming mail, calendaring deadlines, speaking with clients and various courts, occasional runs to the court, legal document preparation, trial preparation, scanning, and storing mail along with other general office duties. QUALIFICATIONS: Should preferably have a High school diploma or equivalent. Must have 3+ years of experience. Insurance defense experience is highly preferred. Should preferably have 3+ years of experience in using Microsoft Office. Must work well individually and as part of a legal team, and is willing to go above and beyond to successfully meet the unique needs of our firm. Must be reliable, energetic, and well-organized. Must be detail-oriented, experienced, hard-working, enthusiastic, team-oriented, and have a determination to "figure it out." Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, be detail-oriented, hard-working, enthusiastic, and team-oriented; have excellent communication skills, typing skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills, and professional appearance; possess active knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, calendar deadlines, as well as knowledge and experience in preparing basic legal documents and pleadings. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
