The size allows the firm to handle the most complex transactions and cases, and its clients include many Fortune 500 companies. Associates are allowed to choose the practice areas and specific assignments that interest them, and they will be challenged with responsibility and client contact.
Legal Secretary The candidate will be supporting attorneys in the health law group. Will support attorneys in connection with all aspects of case management in Health Law. Assemble regulatory filings, transcribe, type, proofread and finalize legal documents, correspondence, memos, charts, billings and reports from dictation, handwriting or existing documents, as directed by assigned legal staff sometimes under short deadlines. Maintain files or legal documents, memos, reports, addresses as per firm policy or instructions from legal staff. Copy a large volume of documents, memos, reports and other materials as required. Open client matters and other files. Responsible for revising and editing attorney PowerPoints. Maintain and enter time charges into the billing system as required. Update calendars, assist with travel arrangements, schedule meetings and conferences. The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Should preferably have 3+ years of legal secretary experience. Ability to quickly learn practice area including medical terminology is required. Exceptional technical skills required including knowledge of MS Word, Outlook PowerPoint, and Adobe Professional are required. Must be detailed oriented, excellent proofreading, grammar and spelling skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
