Litigation Paralegal The candidate will work on a docket of serious personal injury cases, which includes trucking and commercial motor vehicle cases, all of which are in litigation. Manage the case calendar and deadlines using Needles Case Management Software. Communicate with case experts. Prepare correspondence, pleadings, and discovery. Meet and communicate with clients daily, including following up with clients regarding their medical treatment. Schedule hearings, trials, depositions, focus groups, and additional appointments. Conduct legal research. E-file documents in state and federal court. Assist the attorney in preparing for hearings, trials, mediations, focus groups, and depositions. Assist with answers to discovery including the review of medical and billing records and communicating with the client to accurately respond. The candidate should have 3+ years of experience in litigation. 3+ years of experience working on personal injury cases - plaintiff preferred. Capable of handling every step of the litigation process - trial prep preferred. Experience with Needles Case Management Software is preferred. WordPerfect, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook. Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Strong computer skills (office is paperless and utilizes technology often).
