Paralegal Assistant Candidate will: Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney; Assisting with litigation and transactional support; Assisting supervisors with sales, marketing and accounting functions of the Firm; Assisting as paralegal / project manager for certain long-time clients of the Firm; File documents with the Secretary of State, Texas Comptrollers Office and other government agencies; Monitor progress of cases; Assist with incorporation, maintenance, merger, acquisition, modification or dissolution of any business entity; Welcome guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or directing inquiries; Work on marketing and practice management for the Firm; In each case under the supervision of a licensed attorney, conserve attorneys time by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications; and coordinating conference calls and meetings; Generate reports by documenting and inputting attorney billable time and reimbursable expenses; preparing invoices and tracking payments; Maintain client confidence by keeping attorney-client information confidential; Provide historical reference and document management by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems, recording meeting discussions and maintaining transcripts; Maintain office supplies by checking stocks; placing and expediting orders and evaluating new products; Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and calling for repairs; Perform various administrative functions such as copying, scanning and filing documents; and Performing such other projects, duties, services and acts required by the Firm, from time to time. 2 years' relevant experience is required.
