We offer programs to assist with tuition reimbursement, professional designations, employee development, wellness initiatives, and more! ## Responsibilities As a Paralegal at, you will be expected to: * Use knowledge gained through extensive experience, paralegal degree and/or bachelor degree to assist attorneys with file handling. * Use education, experience, and thorough understanding of litigation process to assist attorneys in discovery, pre-trial matters and/or trial preparation to proactively move assigned files to conclusion. * Use understanding and experience with medical records and terminology to proactively identify new areas of discovery. * Use automation skills proactively to increase productivity and efficiency in management of cases to assist attorneys in trial preparation and/or presentation. * Use legal research and writing skills to draft complex motions and pleadings. * Assist in trial preparation. * Maintain paralegal competency by participation in continuing education program. * Successfully complete orientation and training program as designated by the Managing Attorney or the Law Department. * Travel via commercial transportation or driving to job related activities. * Work irregular hours because of workload and nature of the work. ## Qualifications We are looking for candidates who have: * Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in an insurance defense firm. * Strong organizational skills in a fast paced work environment. * Working knowledge/experience utilizing the Texas Rules of Civil Procedures. * Working experience in answering discovery and drafting medical summaries/chronologies. * Strong software/technical skills including experience working in a case management system. * Experience working in an electronic/digital environment. * Bilingual skills are preferred but not required. ## Salary Information The salary for the Paralegal position at is 30882.
