Planning Paralegal The candidate will supervise and coordinate the collection and transfer of assets, payment of debts and administration expenses, and the distribution of assets to beneficiaries for probate estates and funded trusts. File wills in appropriate counties. Prepare deeds and assessor forms. Prepare basic forms and filings for entity formations and annual statements. Ensure proper docketing and timely filing of all tax returns and court papers. Prepare and send correspondence, including composing transmittal letters, etc. Communicate with banks, other financial institutions, and relevant parties to the administration of the trust. Prepare and coordinate requests for duplicating, messenger delivery, word processing, special mail handling, accounting, and other office services. Meet with clients and attorneys regarding planning. Preparing sophisticated estate planning documents. corresponding with clients on probate issues. Entity formation and maintenance. Preparing federal estate tax returns. Preparing trust/estate accountings and administering guardianships. Must have 2-3 years experience in estate and planning (however 5+ years experience is a plus). Should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and has a working knowledge of Planning and Estates Software. Significant client interaction and communication. In addition to excellent verbal and written communication, a strong customer service mindset is essential. Experience in drafting Powers of Attorney, Medical Powers of Attorney, Last Wills and Testaments, and Revocable Living Trusts.
