Criminal Law Paralegal The candidate will assist criminal defense attorneys in matters related to representing individuals in criminal proceedings. Prepare evidence for hearings and trials, research and confirm whether information obtained is accurate, draft legal documents, prepare written reports for cases, and arrange legal arguments if an attorney decides to file a lawsuit. Review and prepare court documents. Support counsel in the preparation of legal documents; composing, drafting, revising, and proofreading documents; and transcribing letters. Communicate with clients and opposing counsel. Research with regard to simple and complex legal and regulatory matters. Should have 2+ years of experience in criminal law. Must have experience drafting legal documents such as responsive pleadings, has strong legal research skills, superior organizational skills, and is willing to take on a heavy workload.
