Overview pic in icims The West Palm Beach office of Greenspoon Marder is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal for their busy practice group. The Bankruptcy practice group focuses on matters involving the representation of bankruptcy trustees, for which the Partner involved with that group is a panel trustee, as well as mostly representing the interests of creditors. We are seeking individuals who have bookkeeping experience relating to legal matters. This is a fast-paced, high-volume Bankruptcy practice where excellent organizational skills are mandatory. Responsibilities Bankruptcy Paralegal Duties & Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their essential functions. Prepare reports detailing Chapter 7 case administration, including Forms 1, 2 and Form 3 Uniform Final Reports, TFRs, NFRs and TDRs. Bank reconciliations Analyze claims filed against bankruptcy estates Determine validity of claims under Bankruptcy code, negotiate resolution of claims issues, draft claim objections and proposed orders Familiarity with all aspects of complying with filing requirements and deadlines within bankruptcy courts, including ability to draft pleadings and orders Preparing and E-filing documents within Bankruptcy Courts in the Southern District of Florida Handling multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Heavy calendaring and scheduling for meetings, calls, deadlines, and proactively ensuring deadlines are met within bankruptcy estates Preparing IRS Forms 1099-Misc; 1099-NEC and 1096 on bankruptcy estates and filing with the IRS.
