Legal Secretary Duties: Coordinate work product and calendar management for attorneys. Prepare, sort and organize documents for attorney case files. Maintain pleadings clips on a regular basis to comport with Court docket. Word processing. Electronic filing of documents with Federal and State Courts. Maintain case database tickler system and calendaring of various Court deadlines. Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails. Scan and electronically file documents in specific client files in Worldox. Produce, sort and collate large document packages for litigation and other miscellaneous matters. Public Record research, West Law case retrieval, MassCourts docket searches. Qualifications: Litigation experience, draft supporting documents for various filings such as 9A packages. Knowledge of AIA Contract forms, drafting and preparation skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multitask. Ability to work independently as well as with a team to accomplish goals. Skilled at learning new concepts quickly while working well under pressure.
