Litigation Paralegal The candidate will open and close files, organize files and review bills. Prepare various acknowledgment letters to the client, insured and commission. Log mail into case management software, docket specific deadlines and tasks for an attorney(s). Scan and drop appropriate documents into ProLaw (pleadings, Commission filings, clocked forms, etc.). Coordinate IMEs and request medical records. Prepare settlement documents. Do general follow-up. Cooperate with co-workers. Work as a member of a team. Accept change in a productive manner. Perform other duties as assigned.
The candidate should preferably have an Associate's or better in Paralegal Studies. Should have Bachelor's or better in Law or related field. Should have a 4-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program, along with 1-3 years of related work experience. Works well as a member of a group. Should be capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well, inspired to perform without outside help, inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks. Should be professional, motivated, organized and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
