Appeals Case Manager/Paralegal The candidate will be preparing legal correspondence and other documents for attorneys. Gathering and analyzing medical records related to complex injuries or illnesses. Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other medical/vocational professionals to discuss case details, primarily over the telephone. Organizing and maintaining documents in an electronic filing system. Primary responsibility for handling incoming telephone calls from clients, potential clients, insurance company representatives, and other medical/vocational professionals. Working efficiently with third-party vendors to accomplish the above tasks. Assembling and maintaining exhibit files. Opening and closing-out client files as needed. Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies (or equivalency through experience). Associate degree (or higher). Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to monitor time sensitive documents and meet strict deadlines.
