Paralegal DUTIES: Work for general tax/tax planning section reporting to three shareholders and numerous associate attorneys. Main focus is on corporate formation, maintenance and operations and all types of real estate matters. Draft all types of corporate documents: consent actions, formation and organizational documents, assumed name filings, foreign registrations, etc. Analyze title commitments, exception documents and surveys, prepare objection letters, review closing documents, communicate with surveyors, title companies, and lenders. Draft all types of real estate documents: deeds, deeds of trust, notes, releases, leases, affidavits , etc. Prepare federal gift tax returns. Complete and file various IRS forms and obtain Employer Identification Numbers. Create detailed organizational charts and entity information indexes. Draft and file various Secretary of State forms. Prepare physical and digital closing binders. Assemble and maintain minute books.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree from ABA-approved program. 5 years of experience with general corporate matters and real estate issues. Notary Public commission. Highly proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent grammar and proofreading skills. Great attention to detail. Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends. History of timekeeping/reporting.
