Paralegal The candidate will be investigating the facts of a case and drafting case reports. Communicating and corresponding with clients. Calculating civil litigation deadlines; calendaring in Microsoft Outlook. Conducting research on relevant laws, regulations & legal articles. Organizing and maintaining documents in paper and electronic filing systems. Coordinating, scheduling and preparing for consultations, client meetings, depositions, inspections, mediations, arbitrations. Drafting correspondence, complaints, discovery requests and responses, briefs, motions and other common civil litigation documents. Performing state, federal, and appellate court filings, including e-filing. Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, charts, trial notebook, voir dire, jury instructions, verdict forms, subpoenas, etc.
The candidate should have paralegal certificate in compliance with CA Business & Professions Code 6450 (c)(3).Should preferable have 2+ years of experience. civil litigation experience is a plus.Self-starter with the ability to manage 60+ cases as a team is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Westlaw is needed. Ability to e-file in State and Federal Court is required. Format documents, including TOC and TOA is a plus. Exceptional organization, attention to detail and problem solving, verbal and written communication skills are required
